Back again! Now, I need to settle a debate with a work friend ... what colour is Mr Bean's car? If you can't remember, what his car looks like, have a look ...

I might be a little bit biast on this one (especially as i'm your mate form work) but you can clearly see that the car is yellow. £5 please . cha ching.... Are you colour blind or is it me!!!!!
It's lime green ... no question in my mind.
According to a quiz that Channel 4 ran a while ago on the Mini's history, one of the questions was;
Q. What colour was Mr. Bean's Mini?
To which, the definitive answer came back (including the "Official" Rover colour name for the shade used)
A. Green. Score an extra point if you knew that the official Rover name for the colour was Applejack.
So there you have it ladies and Gentlemen!
I hope Mr L that that answer has provided you with the rich pickings of a crisp fiver :)

Mr H. I might be biased (seeing as I live with Paul) but look at the bollards and look at the car ... you can clearly see a difference in colour ... I think Paul wins the fiver!

Talk about biast, You are probally tying to claim £2.50 out of that fiver. ha ha. I did take a look at the bollards ( nice picture for Paul to choose ) but arent they a brighter shade of yellow due to the fact that they are used for traffic purposes?

mmm ... it is yellow yes but I refer to Nige's post ...

I agree Nige's post seems fairly fullproof but you have now admitted to me that Mr Bean's car is yellow. Perhaps we have to consider that the car has changed colour more than once through the seris?

This is the REAL Rebekah, Paul typed in the last one for me but it was what I thought the colour was in the picture.... IT IS GREEN... but having asked Paul to look at the picture you all looked at work, I happen to agree that the colour isin fact YELLOW.
So all I can say is you are both right and wrong. So neither of you win anything unless you both wanna give me the £fiver which I'd be happy to recieve.
Who would have thought it ... my wife sitting on the fence! Pah!

The question was "What Colour is Mr Beans Car" - not "What Colour is Mr Beans Car in this picture?"
It's clearly Lime Green in that Photo .. The Bollards are Yellow.
Nige I know how much you must want that £2.50. So in one picture its lime green ( The picture that Paul shows us ) and in the other picture its yellow ( The one I showed you ) So isnt there a slight chance that they used different coloured cars for certian episodes? Meaning that everyone is right. My eyes don't lie, maybe the channel 4 researcher got his fact from looking at Paul's picture and not mine?????

The Channel 4 thing got the actual colour of the paint from Rover (or Austin, or whoever it was that made the car) .. and confirmed it as Applejack (the name derived from the Colour of an Apple - as they're green).
It's reasonable to assume that they may have used more than one version of the car in the series and just swapped the number plates.
Or, the two pictures could just show the exact same car, but the lighting conditions, contract, brightness, exposure etc, could affect the end image at the end result.
So my conclusion .. I'm still convinced it's Green

I think the car is green - that's what it loks like in the atatched picture anyway!
