What are you going to give up?

Today is "Pancake Day" or to give it its correct name, "Shrove Tuesday". Today is the day when Jesus went into the wilderness for 40 days (not literal days, it is just a term used in the Bible to signfy "a long period of time" -Ed). Normally at this time of year as lent people give up things they enjoy ... haven't decided yet what I am going to give up, but will try and give something up! (Maybe work? -Ed)

Speaking of pancakes, that reminds me of a stupid joke ...

An englishman, a scottishman and irishman are in the pub chatting. The englishman being very proud speaks up, "I am very proud of my boy, born on 23rd April, we called him George." The scottishman not wanting to be out done say, "Aye that is a coincidence ... my boy was born on St Andrew's day, we called him Andrew" ... The irishman buts in quickly "eeh by Jesus, the same with my boy Pancake". (Cue: Canned laughter -Ed)
